Description:
Government Affairs CoordinatorStrategically develop, maintain, and enhance associate relationships with elected officials, Educate associates on key public policy matters, Mobilize voluntary grassroots engagement on key public policy matters as needed, Support State Farm Federal Political Action Committee activities, events, and communications, Work collaboratively with counsel and enterprise partners, Coordinate legislative/public policy events in assigned territory in furtherance of advocacy goals, Deploy communication strategies through various channels to advance public policy and brand promotion objectivesBachelor’s Degree strongly preferred, Deep knowledge of state and federal legislative processes for strategic government engagement, Skilled at building and leveraging relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers to advance goals, Proven track record in legislative affairs, government relations, and grassroots advocacy to influence policy, Skilled in Political Action Committee work – effective facilitation of PAC activities, events, and communications, Exceptional communicator, skilled at presenting complex information clearly and persuasively in writing and verbally, Strong collaborator with cross-functional teams to drive shared objectives, Adaptable and resilient in fast-paced, dynamic environments, Self-driven and effective both independently and within teams, Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred • Deep knowledge of state and federal legislative processes for strategic government engagement • Skilled at building and leveraging relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers to advance goals • Proven track record in legislative affairs, government relations, and grassroots advocacy to influence policy • Skilled in Political Action Committee work – effective facilitation of PAC activities, events, and communications • Exceptional communicator, skilled at presenting complex information clearly and persuasively in writing and verbally
