Description:
The JPMC Community Engagement team is hiring a Relationship Manager to help the firm advance key policy, business and community priorities through engagement with national third-party organizations.Steward partnerships with a portfolio of national influential stakeholders working on issues including, but not limited to, consumer issues, housing, small business and civil rights.7+ years of experience in stakeholder management, government relations, grantmaking, and/or consumer and/or housing policy, particularly working in or with financial services companies.
Responsibilities:
• Steward partnerships with a portfolio of national influential stakeholders working on issues including, but not limited to, consumer issues, housing, small business and civil rights.
• Work with Government Relations and Public Affairs to develop and execute strategies that inform, educate, drive narrative change and advance policy priorities most important to the firm.
• Represent the firm at events, fostering relationships that support strategic objectives.
• Manage an annual grant portfolio of national partners aligned with identified areas of strategic focus.
• Activate the firm’s participation in and thought leadership at events and sponsorships hosted by stakeholders.
• Design, organize and host forums and events that promote dialogue and shared understanding between senior firm executives and key partners.
Qualifications:
• 7+ years of experience in stakeholder management, government relations, grantmaking, and/or consumer and/or housing policy, particularly working in or with financial services companies.
• Thought leadership and subject matter expertise on issues impacting the firm’s reputation and business operations.
• Exceptional negotiation, written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, considering multiple points of view.
• Integrity and strong work ethic with high attention to detail and deadlines.
• Creative, flexible, collaborative, and results-oriented with the ability to work independently and in a team.
