Description:
PepsiCo products are enjoyed by consumers more than one billion times a day in more than 200 countries and territories around the world.The Public Policy and Government Affairs (PPGA) team helps PepsiCo navigate the increasingly volatile and complex policy and regulatory landscape in which our company operates.3–5 years of experience working on Capitol Hill or in a legislative-related role; direct experience engaging on U.S. Farm Bill development or implementation (e.g., Agriculture Committee, USDA programs) strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
• Assist the Senior Director and Director of Global Agriculture Policy in developing and executing advocacy campaigns around the U.S. Farm Bill and other agriculture legislation, ensuring alignment with PepsiCo’s regenerative agriculture, conservation, public-private partnership, and co-investment priorities. • Represent the company externally on federal agriculture policy issues with policymakers and other key stakeholders. • Monitor, prioritize, and provide consultation to the Senior Director of Federal Affairs and Director of Global Agriculture Policy on agriculture and other relevant public policy developments impacting PepsiCo; help create advocacy collateral and ensure consistency with enterprise strategy while maintaining positive working relationships with internal and external colleagues. • Maintain a network of relationships with lawmakers, staff, industry representatives, and other relevant stakeholders. • Work with the state and federal PPGA team to help carry out political action campaign goals in support of company objectives. • Carry out strategies and actions with the highest level of integrity and ethics.
Qualifications:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with internal and external audiences. • 3–5 years of experience working on Capitol Hill or in a legislative-related role; direct experience engaging on U.S. Farm Bill development or implementation (e.g., Agriculture Committee, USDA programs) strongly preferred. • Highly proactive and able to navigate ambiguity and complexity while developing successful solutions. • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to thrive within a rapidly changing environment. • Works well under pressure with an ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously. • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to focus on both detail and the larger picture.
