Senator Adam Schiff seeks a driven, innovative Digital Manager to join our team. This essential role will work closely with the Digital Director and other members of the communications team, and requires a creative thinker with experience creating engaging digital content on complex issues, with a particular focus on video content. Ideal candidates will have strong video and photo editing and writing skills, and experience working with digital influencers to produce engaging content for a variety of audiences and platforms. This is a full-time, in-person position, with a starting salary of $63,000. Final salary and title commensurate with experience. Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will view digital media as inextricable from larger communications strategy – with a deeply intentional approach to storytelling and narrative development. You should be able to work quickly and collaboratively, think strategically in both proactive and reactive contexts, and be able to balance a variety of competing priorities. Creativity and embrace of new mediums and styles is ideal, while remaining rooted in a voice and style that is authentic to Senator Schiff.

Key Responsibilities: Drive the Senator’s rapid response communications online in a rapidly shifting environment, across a variety of platforms. Craft a high volume of compelling content, including videos, graphics, animations, and copy for all social media platforms. This includes streaming live events, capturing and editing photos and videos, and producing frequent high-quality video content on cinema-quality equipment. Coordinate the office’s collaboration with content creators and advise on engagement with new media entities and nontraditional outlets, including building and maintaining relationships to expand our digital reach and impact. Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products under tight deadlines, with a keen attention to detail.

Qualifications: Minimum 2 years developing digital content. Minimum one year of professional video production and graphic design experience, with an emphasis on expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, and After Effects). Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. A deep understanding of social media platforms, with a focus on non-traditional political media spaces like YouTube and TikTok, as well as Substack. Availability for frequent after hours work and irregular state travel.
