Rep Scott Peters (CA-50) seeks a Field Representative/Caseworker for the district office.
Responsibilities:
This job requires the ability to complete
projects on time, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and work well under pressure
while being professional and courteous with colleagues, constituents and community
members. Caseworkers handle sensitive information and, thus, must have good judgment
and discretion. As a field representative, the position requires the ability to communicate
on behalf of the Congressman about his work in the district and Washington D.C. Field
representatives serve as the Congressman’s eyes and ears within the community and
must be able to hear concerns and deliver those messages to the office.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be detail and service oriented, have excellent organizational and
communication skills, and strong computer skills. High School
Diploma required. Some college preferred. Knowledge of the legislative process is
desirable but not required. Interest and knowledge in immigration and housing policy and
San Diego ties are a plus but not required.
