Description:
The Energy and Commerce Committee Democratic Staff seeks a motivated and hardworking digital director to join our fast-paced communications team.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include: developing and implementing a proactive digital strategy; creating engaging content for the Committee’s and Ranking Member’s social media channels; producing and editing videos, graphics, and photos; monitoring social media and finding creative ways to connect the Committee’s jurisdiction to almost any conversation and to a variety of audiences; analyzing data to generate actionable insights and expand our audience; collaborating closely with Committee policy and communications staff on the development of communications and messaging materials; coordinating with the communications staff of Committee members and the larger Democratic caucus on social media and other online opportunities; overseeing the Committee’s visual and brand standards; and managing and updating the Committee’s website.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must have at least three years of professional social media and digital experience, excellent written and oral communication skills, a proven ability to perform under pressure while juggling multiple tasks, and sound political judgment. Prior Hill or campaign digital communications experience is preferred.
