Description:
Gain public service experience and insight into Capitol Hill.
Responsibilities:
Legislative Internship: Taking calls from the district and supporting constituent needs. Attending stakeholder and constituent meetings. Leading tours of the Capital complex for constituents. Writing memos and conducting legislative research. Drafting constituent correspondence. Attending congressional hearings and briefings. Greeting office guests, constituents, and stakeholders. Assisting with daily office operations, including running errands and processing mail. Communications Internship: Drafting talking points, press releases, remarks and other written materials. Editing graphics and videos. Compiling daily news clips. Assisting with daily office operations, including running errands.
Qualifications:
Eagerness to learn, customer service skills, and strong writing skills.
