Congressman Gabe Amo seeks a dynamic, detail-oriented Legislative Correspondent to join his office in Washington, D.C.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the constituent correspondence program, including drafting thoughtful constituent correspondence and managing the newsletter. Manage a legislative portfolio, including tracking legislation, monitoring relevant committee and floor activity, tracking news events, making recommendations in the assigned legislative areas, and building support for the Member’s legislative agenda by developing and implementing new initiatives. Draft legislation, letters, remarks, and other written material related to the policy portfolio. Represent the Member in meetings with constituents, local and national stakeholder organizations, and administration officials.
Qualifications:
Exceptional writing, editing, and multitasking skills, be detail-oriented and proactive, be able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and be committed to public service.
