Description:
The District Office of Congresswoman Katherine M. Clark (MA-05) is accepting applications for the position of Staff Assistant/Military & Veterans Constituent Service Representative.
Responsibilities:
• Acts as the representative for the Congresswoman within their area of responsibility including answering casework correspondence, meeting with constituents, verbal communications with constituents, and serving as a liaison with federal, district, and local agencies; • Manages mail operations, maintains administrative files, and coordinates office supply re-orders; • Hosts periodic office hours at varied locations for constituents throughout the district; • Leads process for military service academy nominations, planning outreach to interested students, reviewing applications, and providing recommendations to Congresswoman; • Answers constituent calls, refers cases, and assists in internship supervision; • Informs the Congresswoman and the District Director of all happenings in their assigned issue areas by screening district media sources and interacting with constituents; • Acts as a liaison to local, state, and federal officials and other persons or groups to form effective relationships for the Congresswoman; • Manages casework portfolio as assigned and acts as liaison with constituents to ensure that their cases are handled in a responsive manner; • Performs other duties as assigned.
