Description:
The Office of Representative Val Hoyle (OR-04) is hiring a full-time Legislative Intern to work in her Washington, D.C. office.
Responsibilities:
Assisting with front office operations and greeting visitors; Answering phones and recording constituent opinions; Sorting and responding to constituent mail; Compiling daily news clips; Attending and summarizing briefings and hearings; Assisting with press materials and other written communications; Writing letters to constituents; Writing co-sponsor recommendations; Leading Capitol tours for constituents; and, Providing additional administrative and legislative support as needed.
Qualifications:
Successful candidates should demonstrate that they are organized, detail-oriented, and professional. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
