Description:
Legislative interns have the opportunity to learn how the House functions through hands-on experience.
Responsibilities:
Interns will have the opportunity to sit in on committee hearings and briefings, assist with legislative projects, and lead Capitol tours. They will also support the D.C. office by answering phones, greeting visitors, sorting mail, and other administrative duties as assigned, as well as providing support to legislative staff as needed.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates have strong writing and verbal communication skills, the ability to manage multiple competing tasks, a strong sense of professionalism, and demonstrate a solid work ethic. District ties are a plus. Diverse and bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
