Description:
Congresswoman Simon's office hosts internships in both of our offices (Washington D.C. or Oakland). Prospective legislative Intern applicants for the Washington, D.C. office and prospective district office intern applicants are required to fill out the below form and should have their cover letter and resume ready to upload at the end of the form (submitting these documents is required). Prospective press interns for the Washington D.C. office should email their application materials and digital portfolio to lateefahsimonpress@mail.house.gov, following the instructions below.
Responsibilities:
Assisting with front office operations, Conducting Capitol Tours, Answering phones, recording constituent opinions, and processing other incoming requests, Supporting the legislative team by drafting memos and conducting legislative research or community outreach, Attending briefings and congressional hearings, Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates are organized and passionate undergraduate students, graduate students, or recent graduates with an interest in public service and social justice. Applicants should be self-starters with excellent communication, writing and organizational skills.
