Description:
The Democratic Women's Caucus seeks an organized, energetic, and creative Digital Storyteller to join our team full-time in Washington, D.C. This role supports the DWC's digital communications efforts under the supervision of the Communications Director and assists with the day-to-day operations of the Caucus.
Responsibilities:
Assists in executing the DWC's digital communications strategy under the direction of the Communications Director. Drafts, designs, and posts engaging content across social platforms (X, Instagram, Facebook, Bluesky, YouTube, and emerging platforms), including copy, graphics, and videos. Produce timely content tied to legislative activity, hearings, press conferences, and key policy and cultural moments. Manage and update the DWC website to ensure timely and accurate content. Capture, produce, and edit photo and video content from events and press conferences, optimized for each platform. Compile and distribute weekly press clips highlighting Member coverage and women's policy issues. Track political, media, and social developments and flag relevant messaging opportunities. Monitor basic digital analytics and post performance.
Qualifications:
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to craft compelling digital content in the DWC's voice. Creative instincts and foundational technical ability to develop engaging graphics and video content. Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable supporting Members during filming and digital content creation. Familiarity with social media platforms and digital tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite especially Adobe Premiere Pro or similar programs. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and a passion for advancing women's issues.
