Description:
Congresswoman Andrea Salinas (D-OR) is seeking a D.C. Scheduler in her Washington, D.C. Office.
Responsibilities:
Managing all incoming scheduling requests, collecting relevant logistical and policy information, and presenting to the leadership team; Updating the Congresswoman's calendar while balancing core office and personal priorities; Coordinate weekly briefing book and schedule, working with the D.C. staff to ensure all briefing materials arrive to the Congresswoman complete and on time; Maintains and implements administrative office files, policies, and operating procedures to ensure effective office operations; Update the staff and Congresswoman of any scheduling changes throughout the workday; Arranging all travel for the Congresswoman; Handles and coordinates logistics for external room reservations, catering, and serves as the main billing point of contact, tracking receipts, and payments; Oversees coordination with other Member offices, Committees, the White House and Executive Departments and agencies – e.g., Travel Logistics –Planning and Press/Speaking Engagements; Tracks office technology (cell phones, iPads, laptops, etc.) and office equipment in the D.C. Office, ensuring the office inventory list is up to date; Maintains the Member's files, including notes, correspondence, contact information for Members and office VIPs, and all information relating to travel; Collecting and processing office expenses; Lead and coordinate all logistical planning calls with staff for the Congresswoman's travels; Acts as the Member's primary driver while the Member is in the Washington, D.C. metro area.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have exceptional organizational and communications skills, be very detail oriented, and enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment. The ideal candidate will have proven knowledge of the congressional work setting, ability to balance competing demands, possess sound political judgement and must be able to exercise discretion and have a keen eye for detail.
