Description:
Manager or Director, Communications & Public AffairsManage communications campaigns, contribute to and lead the rollout of MPA-produced research, draft public-facing materials, lead development of two newsletters, build, organize, and maintain press lists, and coordinate projects between multiple stakeholders.Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field, 5+ years of experience in communications and public affairs, strong writing and analytical skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
• Manage communications campaigns focused on core advocacy priorities • Contribute to and lead the rollout of MPA-produced research • Draft public-facing materials, including press releases, statements, op-eds, and articles • Lead development of two newsletters — one weekly and one quarterly • Build, organize, and maintain press lists and other key databases • Coordinate projects between multiple stakeholders across the association
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field • 5+ years of experience in communications and public affairs • Strong writing and analytical skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
