Responsibilities:
• Provide risk-based, compliance-focused legal advice on U.S. customs and international trade matters impacting import and export operations
• Advise business partners on tariffs and trade remedies, including antidumping and countervailing duties (AD/CVD)
• Counsel on and help structure duty mitigation and recovery programs, including tariff engineering, protests, and other lawful strategies
• Partner closely with Global Supply Chain, Sourcing, and Compliance teams to integrate legal guidance into business decisions
• Serve as a key advisor to Finance, Accounting, and Tax partners on tariff-related financial exposure, recoveries, and related considerations
• Provide counsel in connection with government inquiries, audits, investigations, and enforcement actions
Qualifications:
• J.D. degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; eligible for admission to the Minnesota bar
• 7+ years of relevant experience in customs and international trade law
