Description:
As a member of the Global Communications & Public Affairs team, you will work cross-functionally to communicate with journalists and thought leaders; develop communications materials and campaigns; engage in face-to-face meetings with commentators and opinion formers; and create print and web-based materials supporting these campaigns.Shape coverage around regulatory files and issues impacting YouTube through proactive campaigns and rapid-response communications. Coordinate global communications responses to regulatory issues across regions.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. 10 years of experience in public relations, media relations, public affairs, or corporate communications.
Responsibilities:
• Shape coverage around regulatory files and issues impacting YouTube through proactive campaigns and rapid-response communications.
• Coordinate global communications responses to regulatory issues across regions.
• Build relationships with key data-center-focused press and third-party stakeholders to advance YouTube’s reputational efforts and support legislative priorities.
• Partner with cross-functional teams in public policy, legal, and marketing to manage press coverage, events, public testimony, and reporter briefings.
• Collaborate across GCPA on core files that impact both YouTube and Google.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in public relations, media relations, public affairs, or corporate communications.
• Experience driving policy-focused media campaigns and shaping coverage.
• Experience planning integrated media campaigns that scale.
• Strong writing skills with the ability to translate complex findings into simple, clear communications.
