Description:
BioMarin is seeking a Vice President, Patient Advocacy to lead the company’s global patient advocacy function and ensure patient perspectives inform key decisions across the organization.Lead BioMarin’s patient advocacy strategy across the portfolio, build and sustain trusted relationships with patient advocacy organizations, ensure patient insights are integrated into decision-making across research, clinical development, market access, commercialization and long-term support.Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred, 10+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare or consulting environments, significant experience in patient advocacy or closely related external engagement roles.
Responsibilities:
• Lead BioMarin’s patient advocacy strategy across the portfolio
• Build and sustain trusted relationships with patient advocacy organizations, community leaders and other external stakeholders
• Ensure patient insights are integrated into decision-making across research, clinical development, market access, commercialization and long-term support
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
• 10+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare or consulting environments
• Significant experience in patient advocacy or closely related external engagement roles
