Senator Ted Cruz seeks a conservative telecommunications counsel to join the Republican staff of the Senate Commerce Committee. Qualified applicants must have experience drafting legislation, interfacing with federal agencies, and the workings of Congress. Key
Responsibilities:
include developing legislation; conducting oversight of agencies and nominations under the Committee’s jurisdiction; preparing hearings, drafting memos and talking points; and generally advising the Chairman.
also include coordinating and collaborating with other committees and congressional staff, executive branch agencies, industry, and trade associations. Successful candidates will possess exceptional writing skills, have strong attention to detail, an excellent work ethic, and clear and concise communication abilities. Law degree, and previous Hill or related agency experience, are required.
