Description:
The Democratic Ranking Member of the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations is seeking a legal fellow for a one-year term beginning in 2027. The law fellow will assist the Senator’s investigative team in conducting oversight of corruption, fraud, and abuse in the government and within the private sector. The law fellow will be responsible for drafting letters, reports, and memoranda, advising senior staff and the Senator on investigations, and conducting legal and policy research. Law fellows will collaborate with staff members on a range of subject matter based on the needs of the office. Law fellows must be adept legal researchers and willing to review and analyze voluminous document productions. They must be able to write quickly and clearly, be flexible in adjusting to changing circumstances and priorities, and be self-starters capable of taking responsibility for complicated, ongoing projects. Applicants must have a JD from an accredited program. Demonstrated interest in public service is preferred. This position is located in Washington, D.C. This is an unpaid position so fellow candidates must have the ability to secure fellowship funding from their law school or another appropriate source. While this fellowship is expected to take beginning in fall 2027, an earlier start date may be considered.
