Description:
Senator Chris Van Hollen, a member of the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, seeks a fellow to focus on housing and banking issues for a one-year term starting in Fall 2027. The fellow will serve on the legislative team managing the Senator’s work on the Banking-Housing Committee, and will help to prepare for hearings, develop legislation, meet with stakeholders, and otherwise support the policy portfolio. The position is well suited to a 2027 law school graduate or a 2027 graduate of another relevant graduate program; a fellow with a legal background will have opportunities for legal projects as desired. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated interest in housing policy, financial services, consumer protection, and related issues, as well as past experience in public service. Experience in a legislative environment is also a plus. This position is located in Washington, D.C.
