Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) is seeking a Legislative Assistant (LA) to join his office’s national security team. The LA will primarily handle issues related to foreign policy and the State Department on behalf of Senator Cruz. The LA will be responsible for a range of activities and written products related to the foreign policy portfolio, including drafting legislation, supporting Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearings, and engaging with relevant constituents and outside groups. The ideal candidate will have significant prior experience working on national security issues in the Senate or House. This is not an entry-level position. Candidates with strong writing skills will be given significant preference.
