The Office of U.S. Senator Ruben Gallego seeks a dedicated, detail-oriented, and compassionate Caseworker to join the Tucson regional office. This position serves as a primary point of contact for constituents seeking assistance with federal agencies and programs. The Caseworker will advocate on behalf of Arizonans experiencing challenges with federal agencies while providing exceptional constituent service in a professional, nonpartisan, and timely manner. The ideal candidate is committed to public service, possesses strong communication and problem-solving skills, and is able to manage a diverse caseload in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strict confidentiality. Work Environment This is a full-time, in-person position based in the Tucson regional office. The position may require occasional travel throughout Southern Arizona, as well as occasional evening or weekend work to support constituent events and community outreach. Salary and Benefits Salary is commensurate with experience. Responsibilities:
Responsibilities Serve as the primary liaison between constituents and federal agency representatives to facilitate communication and resolve constituent concerns. Conduct intake interviews, evaluate requests for assistance, and ensure Privacy Act documentation is complete and compliant. Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely case records using the Senate case management system. Draft correspondence to constituents and federal agencies regarding case status and outcomes. Monitor case progress and follow up proactively to ensure timely resolution whenever possible. Coordinate with district and Washington, D.C. staff regarding constituent issues that have legislative or policy implications. Assist with constituent outreach events, mobile office hours, and community engagement efforts throughout Southern Arizona. Support office operations and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently. Demonstrated commitment to customer service and public service. Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and maintain confidentiality. Familiarity with Southern Arizona communities is strongly preferred. Spanish language proficiency is preferred but not required. Preferred Experience Experience working with federal, state, or local government. Constituent services, social services, legal services, nonprofit, or customer advocacy experience. Knowledge of federal agency processes and constituent casework. Experience working with diverse populations and vulnerable communities.
