Southern Republican Senator seeks a detail-oriented writer and communications professional to join an active office as Press Secretary. The ideal applicant is first and foremost a strong writer but must have savvy media instincts, communications strategy experience, and the ability to juggle multiple projects at once.
Responsibilities:
include, but are not limited to, managing day-to-day press operations, drafting materials, cultivating contacts with reporters, writing or editing social media content, and working with legislative staff to develop rollout plans to communicate the Senator’s policy priorities to local, state, and national audiences. This role would be shared between Committee and personal office staff, with the majority of that split devoted to personal office issues. This is not an entry-level position.
