Description:
U.S. Senator Chris Coons’ Washington, D.C. office is seeking applicants for a full-time or part-time press internship for fall 2026. Interested candidates should visit Senator Coons’ website at https://www.coons.senate.gov/services/resource-guides/internships/. The internship will run from September 8th to December 4th, 2026. This internship program is designed for undergraduate students and recent college graduates. Delaware ties are preferred.
Responsibilities:
Tasks will include tracking media clips, editing video/photo/audio, drafting press releases, and assisting members of the communications team with a wide range of projects.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students or recent graduates who can work at least 20 hours a week from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Prior internship experience in media, campaigns, or government is preferred. Experience with digital communications – including work with graphics and photo and video editing – is also strongly preferred. Our office offers paid internships to applicants with demonstrated financial need.
