Description:
Democratic Ranking Member of the Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee seeking highly motivated candidates to support the Committee’s oversight, investigations, and nominations work.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include conducting deep-dive research, drafting memoranda and briefing materials, assisting with the vetting process for presidential appointments, and managing investigations records. The candidate will also be responsible for providing administrative support such as scheduling meetings, notetaking, and drafting e-mail correspondence.
Qualifications:
Candidates must be team players capable of producing high-quality work under tight deadlines, have outstanding organizational, written and verbal communications skills, and are self-starters who can think strategically and remain comfortable in a fast-paced environment. While a law degree is not required for this role, a background in legal research and prior Hill experience is a plus. An ideal candidate would have a connection to the Pacific Northwest.
