Description:
Senator Mazie K. Hirono (D-HI) is accepting law clerk applications for the Fall 2026 semester. Law clerks will work with Senator Hirono’s Judiciary Committee team in her Washington, D.C. office.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities include legislative and legal research; attending briefings; and preparing for legislative, nominations, and oversight hearings. Candidates must be strong writers, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a J.D. program at an ABA accredited law school. Academic credit or a stipend may be available based on each institution’s criteria. While some hybrid work is available, this is an in-person opportunity, and law clerks must be based in or near Washington, D.C. for the tenure of their clerkship. Full time availability is preferred.
