Midwest Republican Senator has an opening for a Communications Director.
Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing a team of communications staff; developing and implementing a comprehensive messaging strategy across traditional and new media platforms; collaborating with policy and administrative teams; working with state and national media; writing and editing copy for various forms of public release; securing positive press; and preparing the Senator for media and speaking appearances.
Qualifications:
Applicants should demonstrate superior writing and interpersonal communication, organizational skills, creativity, strategic thinking, and the ability to juggle multiple competing deadlines. Candidates should have five to ten years of relevant communications experience and previous Hill experience is preferred.
