Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) is seeking a Legislative Assistant (LA) to join his Office’s domestic policy team.
Responsibilities:
The LA will take the lead on matters related to trade, taxation, the budget, and Social Security. The LA helps staff Senator Cruz on relevant policy issues, drafts legislation, leads legislative initiatives, represents the Senator in meetings with constituents and key stakeholders, and monitors relevant legislative activity.
Qualifications:
Candidates should excel in a team setting, operate well under pressure, and possess strong time management, organizational, analytical, and communication skills. The most qualified candidates will have prior Hill experience and an understanding of economic policy in the United States.
