Description:
Senator Maria Cantwell is seeking a legislative correspondent to help cover issues related to justice, individual rights, public safety, and agriculture. The salary for this position is $68,000 per annum plus benefits.
Responsibilities:
Position responsibilities include proactive engagement with constituents and stakeholders, as well as supporting the Senator’s legislative team by helping prepare for relevant hearings and meetings, speech writing, and developing background memos.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates should possess some experience and knowledge about these topics. Candidates with ties to Washington state, congressional work experience, and a steadfast and cheerful disposition are strongly preferred.
