Description:
The Democratic staff of the U.S. Congress Joint Economic Committee (JEC) is seeking a graduate student for a paid, in-person summer 2026 fellowship focused on bipartisan government reform. The fellow will work to identify durable, bipartisan government reforms, including to improve mission and service delivery and streamline and speed up operations. This work includes supporting engagement with experts, synthesizing research, analyzing reform proposals, and helping develop strategic materials that inform a forward-looking agenda. Applicants should be current graduate students in public policy, public administration, business, law, or a related field. Strong research, analytical, and writing skills are required. A demonstrated interest in strategy, public management, and institutional design is strongly preferred. Prior federal or Hill experience is a plus but not required.
