Description:
Senator Brian Schatz seeks a legislative assistant to staff the senator’s work on judiciary-related topics (including antitrust, civil rights, criminal justice, gun control, immigration, intellectual property, and judicial nominations) as well as economic-related topics (banking, economic development). The salary for this position will be in the range of $80,000 – $95,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:
This position will also help support the senator’s work as a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee and its subcommittee on DOJ and related agencies. This legislative assistant will join the senator’s domestic policy team and report to his general counsel.
Qualifications:
Competitive candidates will have significant congressional experience—with executive branch work experience a plus.
