Description:
The Majority Staff for the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee is seeking full- or part-time interns for the summer. Interns will gain firsthand experience with the legislative process and the Committee’s work on financial services, housing, banking, capital markets, and economic policy.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include processing constituent correspondence, tracking legislation and policy developments, observing hearings, briefings, and markups, and conducting legislative and policy research.
Qualifications:
Candidates should have strong research and writing skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Previous Hill experience or South Carolina ties are strongly preferred, but not required.
